Ellen Gunderson Traylor

As America's leading author of the Biblical novel, Traylor has garnered some modest fame. In her is embodied the combination of careful researcher and engaging storyteller that is necessary for a successful historical novelist. That she has applied this skill set to the telling of stories based on Bible characters is a gift to the Christian community.

Traylor has sold over a million copies of her novels in English, and even more in translations to various other languages. She is the mother of two sons, Nathan and Aaron. She and her husband, Richard Schulz, split their time between Montana and Oregon. Traylor runs Port Hole Books, a bookstore on the Oregon coast.
